Major General Goverdhan Singh Jamwal (AVSM), Patron-in-chief and Honorary Chairman
Major General Goverdhan Singh Jamwal (AVSM) is a distinguished military leader and former Military Secretary to the President of India. He commanded the 9 JAK Rifles during the 1965 Khemkaran War, pioneered the world’s first Ecological Battalions, and served as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
Commissioned into service by Maharaja Hari Singh Dogra in 1947, he holds the unique distinction of being the first, last, and only General of the Indian Army from the State Forces. His first day of service in the Army was in J&K Operations. He also served as Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to Sadar-i-Riyasat J&K, Dr. Maharaja Karan Singhji.
A visionary in strategic studies, he was instrumental in establishing the Department of Strategic Studies at Jammu University, aiming to present the factual history of Jammu and Kashmir. His contributions have been recognized with prestigious honors, including the Shaurya Kala Samman Kunwar Viyogi Award, and the Nelson Mandela Nobel Peace Award (2022).
As Patron-in-Chief of the J&K Ex-Services League, he continues to serve the veteran community. He is also the author of "Valour & Betrayal", a compelling account of the 1947-48 J&K operations, highlighting the heroic role of Brigadier Rajendra Singh in defending the state.

Raja Sourav Singh Sarmal, Honorary Founder, Chairperson, President and Chief Executive Officer
Raja Sourav Singh Sarmal is a distinguished independent researcher, multifaceted intellectual, and visionary political strategist who seamlessly blends his technical expertise with a deep passion for history, culture, and spirituality. Renowned for his authoritative work on the Dogras and the diverse Himalayan tribes, he is widely regarded as a important voice on Jammu and Kashmir’s heritage and the broader Himalayan landscape.
His commitment to historical accuracy extends beyond regional narratives, as he actively works to connect history and heritage-oriented entities that represent the entire Asian continent. His efforts transcend Asia, linking the entire Indo-Iranian and Indo-European family while striving to unite all ancient civilizations. This global vision, combined with his expertise as an Indologist and his deep-rooted connection to Central Asian civilizations, makes his work particularly significant and impactful.
Sarmal has taken the initiative to rightfully study intercultural relations, especially between Central Asian and South Asian civilizations. As an international columnist and commentator, his thought-provoking articles have been published worldwide, shaping discourse on history, politics, and cultural consciousness.
For his exceptional approach to preserving Dogra heritage, General Jamwal honored him with the title "Kalhana of Dogras." His technical background further enables him to explore the intersections of infrastructure, heritage conservation, and societal evolution, offering a unique perspective that bridges the past with the future.
Sarmal’s lineage carries the noble title "Ala-lambardar Muqaddam Sarkar Hami Alhaqiqa Zaildaraan-ijaafi Maqaami Thakur Raja Shri," signifying his ancestors' pivotal role as grand jagirdars and intermediaries between the state and peasantry. He carries this legacy forward with a modern outlook, ensuring its continued relevance.
Recognized and awarded by various organizations for his contributions to Himalayan consciousness, Sarmal also delves into Proto-Vedic Shamanic rituals, unraveling their mystical significance and advocating their rightful place in historical discourse. His work not only preserves ancient wisdom but also fosters a deeper understanding of civilizational interconnectedness, making his role truly invaluable in the study of history and culture.

Alamdar Muneeb Khan, Vice Chairperson & Special Liaison to the Chairperson
Alamdar Muneeb Khan is a distinguished Sufi practitioner, a Guinness World Record holder, and an expert data scientist. His work seamlessly blends the spiritual wisdom of Sufism with modern technological advancements, showcasing a unique synthesis of tradition and innovation.
As a dedicated Sufi, Alamdar Muneeb Khan is deeply committed to the spiritual path, drawing from centuries-old mystical traditions to promote inner peace, self-awareness, and a connection with the divine. His journey in Sufism is marked by devotion, discipline, and an unwavering pursuit of enlightenment, inspiring countless individuals to embrace spirituality in their daily lives.

Ms. Priyanka Sambyal, Secretary-General, Organizational Strategist and Social Policy Director
Ms. Priyanka Sambyal is a Ph.D. scholar in Sociology at the Center for Advanced Study (CAS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, researching the interface of culture and politics in Jammu. She is a full-term Doctoral Research Fellow at ICSSR, New Delhi.
She holds an M.Phil. in Sociology (Panjab University, 2014-2017) on Basohli Paintings, an M.A. in Sociology (University of Jammu, 2011-2013), and a BBA (University of Jammu, 2008-2011). She taught Sociology at University of Jammu, Ramnagar Campus (2017-2019) and contributed to academic activities.
Ms. Sambyal has qualified UGC-NET multiple times (2015, 2016, 2020) and received the ICSSR Full-Term Doctoral Fellowship (2022-23). Her research on Basohli Art, culture, and sustainability is published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national & international conferences.
Her fieldwork spans Jammu, Chandigarh, Chamba (Himachal Pradesh), and Kerala (post-tsunami rehabilitation). She specializes in Cultural Anthropology, Political Sociology, Critical Studies, and Qualitative Research Methods. Her work integrates political sociology, heritage preservation, and sustainability, enriching the discourse on art and cultural heritage within the framework of political sociology.

Miss. Artti Devi, Secretary, Special Advisor and Executive Officer for Historical Affairs
Miss Artti Devi is a research scholar at Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Uttarakhand (a Central University), specializing in heritage studies, with a particular focus on the forts and palaces of Jammu during the Dogra rule (1800–1950). She holds a Master’s degree in History and has successfully qualified for both NET and SET in History, demonstrating her strong academic foundation.
Beyond her research, Artti Devi is an accomplished editor and academic contributor, actively engaged in refining and curating scholarly works. She has played a significant role in editing various research papers and books, including the notable publication Whispers of the Past: Rediscovering India’s Cultural Heritage. Her work is dedicated to the preservation and documentation of India’s rich cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, through meticulous academic writing and editorial projects.

She is a passionate advocate for women’s rights, striving to create a more equitable society by drawing inspiration from historical texts while actively engaging with contemporary challenges.

Dr. Tarun Khajuria, Treasurer, Trust Expansion Officer (Projects & Initiatives) and Medical Custodian
Dr. Tarun Khajuria is a dedicated medical expert, spearheading multiple government projects while managing critical administrative and strategic responsibilities. His profound expertise spans across diverse domains, from medicine to financial planning and strategic management, positioning him as a highly accomplished professional.
Beyond his pivotal contributions to healthcare and administration, Dr. Khajuria is also an apprehender of astrology, delving deep into the cosmic interplay of celestial forces and their influence on human life.
